Passenger plates only

For the first time since 1957, Connecticut is issuing a complete re-issue of all plates. New registrations started this in January 2000 with 100-NZA. After August 2000, any renewal would have their current plate numbers re-issued on the new base. The New base is referred to as a "Gradiant Blue" graphic base. By August of 2002, all plates should be replaced.

Connecticut has switched over to a windshield expiration sticker instead of a plate decal.
