Repair plates are used for the purpose of road testing
vehicles that a company does not own, or vehicles owned, but not registered. A Repair license is required to use these plates.
Series begins with the RA prefix and the garages number. Additional plates for that garage would recieve the next letter,
ie: RB, RC etc etc. When the numbers reached 999, the plates were not long enough to fit four numbers after the prefix letters.
Thus any repair licenses after RA-999 starter with the "OA" prefix. In 1954 when the plates were reissued on a 12 inch base,
the "OA" plates were then switched to the "RA" prefix and the number made into correct four digit series. So, an "OA-123"
plate was reissued as a "RA-1123" plate. This eliminated the confusing "OA" plates.
