Passenger plates from the "Constitution State" series.

These plates were made by the Polyvend company and did not hold up to the sun and our winters. They were discontinued in July 1976 in the TP series. Most were re-issued by the DMV in the early 90's. The 1975s started with the PA-PZ series that was skipped in 1974.

1975

Note: The plates ZA-1000 thru ZF-9999 were issued out of sequence in 1973 just prior to issuing the Blue on reflective Polyvend. Thus after YZ-9999 the series jumped to ZG-1000 and ran through ZZ-9999.

Start of New Numbering Series, this will run from 100.AAA to 999.ZZZ.  The following numbering sequence "rules" are applied to regular issue passenger plates:  Letters I and Q are never used. The letter O will never proceed a group of letters. ie. 789.OGL.  The number 0 will never proceed a group of numbers. ie 045.AAA.  A dot seperator is always used.  Some  first letters of this type passenger sequence are used to designate different plate types, such as: 100.Cxx for Combination vehicles, 100.Lxx for Preserve the Sound, 100.Vxx for Veteran
